Twenty years behind the decks in New York — and, more often than not, behind the whole night.
Newyork Knick is a New York City-based DJ, event producer, and music curator with two decades of experience shaping nightlife across the city. Sweeping fluidly through House, Funk, Rap, Jazz, Salsa and Disco, Knick brings a sophisticated but street-wise sensibility to every set — more than a DJ for hire, a true tastemaker and scene-builder who has helped shape New York's underground nightlife for two decades. Since starting behind the decks in 2005, Knick has held residencies across the city with his latest at Agency of Record, and played shows from Philadelphia to San Francisco, Oakland, Lisbon, Panama City, and Reykjavik. On air, Knick hosted two shows on Drexel's WKDU 91.7 FM — including JamCity Rock, one of the station's longest-running programs, during the years WKDU was named CMJ Station of the Year — and later spent two years on Brooklyn's beloved DIY station KPISS.FM.
